SMS will be a regulation soon. Training is fundamental to understanding and implementing SMS in your organization. SMS is developed and lived in an organization – not a “check box” approach which can be implemented in a day. To implement successfully, one must understand what SMS is and how the processes are integrated and “lived” throughout the organization from every person. Get your program going or re-energize your SMS process. You have been trained...now what about others in your organization? Please take a moment and forward on this email to your friends and co-workers or print off our PDF SMS Training Flyer. Thank you for your time and assistance (your email address will never be sold or re-distributed; opt out instructions below). Aviation safety information must be free flowing - it is vital to a safe, robust and profitable aviation community.

Courseware:
This is the internationally known MITRE SMS Overview
class with twice the class time and a workshop approach
with a “hands-on” experience and "real-life" exercises.
MITRE longstanding relationship (since 1958) with the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has helped the FAA
address the nation’s most critical aviation issues.
MITRE's role was enhanced in 1990 when the FAA created a
Federally Funded Research and Development Center and
selected MITRE to operate it. The new entity is the
Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD).
It is from this expansive background that the SMS
courseware was initially developed. Since the original
implementation this courseware has evolved to be the
industry standard. ATC
Vantage offers
extensive SMS resources to aviation - all free and no
strings attached such as "registration" to view the
resources.
